Case Study
Case: A leading law firm made the decision to upgrade from Microsoft Office 2000 to Office 2003.
The Challenge: Word processing styles are handled much differently in Microsoft Office 2003. The law firm's staff would need to be trained on these changes and all of their existing documents would need to be converted to maintain consistency with the new technology. The questions the firm had were, how would they possibly train their staff on the new version of Word, convert the existing documents, and keep up with the daily word processing needs of the firm during the transition?
Our Solution: DeltaForce consulted with the firm and presented a solution that would enable their staff to be fully trained on Word 2003 without experiencing any downtime in the word processing center. Since we were already familiar with the firm's use of styles and we had expert trainers on staff, we were able to provide the firm's staff with a customized Word 2003 training solution using their own documents. We held the training sessions in our onsite training facility and replaced the staff with our temporary word processing candidates (many of whom had worked at the law firm previously and were familiar with the firm's document styles). One of our teams converted the firm's existing documents while another team handled new documents and daily word processing tasks. In four weeks the transition was complete and the regular staff was able to take over again as Word 2003 experts.
